AWARDS & PRIZES

For consideration of 2027 awards, the nomination must be received by 15 February 2027 to receive full consideration.

This award is officiated by the International Conference on the Future of AM. A committee of three to five members will be appointed by the Conference General Chair to evaluate nominations and select the recipients. Up to three awards will be presented for each category (Trailblazer, Breakthrough and Spark).

The award winners will need to register for the conference (with banquet) as speakers or participants. They will receive their awards at the Conference Banquet on 27 March 2027.

 

FutureAM Trailblazer Award

The FutureAM Trailblazer Award is a Lifetime Achievement Award given to recognize an outstanding researcher in the field of advanced manufacturing. The award consists of a certificate and trophy.

Eligibility:

  • Obtained a PhD from internationally recognized universities.
  • Relentless and sustained activity in advanced manufacturing for over 20 years as on 01 August 2027 (Years of experience is indicative, rather than mandatory).
  • Significant recognition and outstanding impact for their work in advanced manufacturing.
  • Positive role model.

FutureAM Breakthrough Award

The FutureAM Breakthrough Award is given annually to recognize outstanding Mid-career researchers in the field of advanced manufacturing. The award consists of a certificate and a trophy.

Eligibility:

  • Obtained a PhD from internationally recognized universities.
  • 10 – 20 years (inclusive) of experience post-PhD with sustained activity in advanced manufacturing as on 01 August 2027 (Years of experience is indicative, rather than mandatory).
  • Trends showing growing recognition for their work in advanced manufacturing.
  • Service to the community

FutureAM Spark Award

The FutureAM Spark Award is given annually to recognize outstanding Early-career researchers in the field of advanced manufacturing. The award consists of a certificate and a trophy.

Eligibility:

  • Obtained a PhD from internationally recognized universities.
  • Less than 10 years of experience in advanced manufacturing post-PhD as on 01 August 2027 (Years of experience is indicative, rather than mandatory).
  • Potential for a successful career in advanced manufacturing.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for FutureAM Awards 2027

1.Is a PhD required?

Yes. For all three categories, nominees must have obtained a PhD (or equivalent) from an internationally recognized university.

2.Are the years of experience ranges strict?

No. They are indicative rather than mandatory. Nominees should consider their track records prior to submission to the suitable category.

3.Do winners have to register for the conference?

Yes. Award winners must register for the conference as speakers or participants. As the awards will be presented at the conference banquet, they must be present at the event.

4.Who can nominate?

FutureAM awards allow peer nomination as well as self-nomination. Nominations must be submitted via the online form by the indicated deadline.

5. What documents are needed for nomination?

The following should be included in the nomination package

- The completed online nomination form

- A 1000 words statement in which how the nominee excelled in the specific areas/criteria described in the awards information

- A curriculum vitae of the nominee (maximum 2 pages, Arial with font size 11) with the following details:

  • Name
  • Academic qualifications (including institution’s name and year degree awarded)
  • List up to 10 publications (or other equivalent contributions) most relevant to this award nomination

6.Are registration fees waived for award winners?

No. No waivers are provided by the conference organisers.

7.When and how are winners notified?

The award winners will be notified via the provided email in their online nomination form prior to the conference.

8.Are the awards only for academics?

No. Industry researchers can also be nominated.

9.Can one person be nominated in more than one category?

No. Nominees can only be in one category for each edition.

10.Can previous winners be nominated again?

Yes. However, not in the same category that they have been recognized and awarded.

11.Can previous nominees be nominated again?

Yes. Previous nominees can be nominated again as long as they fulfil the eligibility.
